Straight from the studios at Real Time Worlds and lead designer David Jones, Crackdown sets you up as part of an elite law-enforcement organization known simply as the Agency. You are an Agent, and your job is to take back the city from the gangs and kingpins who now rule the streets. You've been reborn into the Agency through the use of top-secret cloning technology; your path to a successful career will be littered with the bodies of those who thought they could stand against the law.
You rely on your abilities and skills to move ahead in the world. Your health, physical fitness, investigative skills, and combat abilities are your tools for dismantling the criminal organizations that hold Pacific City and its citizens under their collective heel. You are largely autonomous, though you can share missions, information, and even skills with your fellow Agents to help each other fight the good fight.
Crackdown takes the action-driving hybrid genre into the next generation with a fully 3-D playground, wide-open storylines, and tactical and strategic decision making that will blow you away. Lay down the law and take out the trash by any means necessary, where your creativity is the only limit to the methods you use. Exploration is key in this open-ended game, giving you a game experience second to none.
Crackdown is being developed by Scotland's Real Time Worlds exclusively for Microsoft Game Studios and Xbox 360®.
