Your Main Objective

The good citizens of Pacific City are prisoners, Agent—prisoners of three unscrupulous masterminds of evil who have taken over our fair city and sectioned it into their own little “kingdoms.” That’s where you come in. It’s your job to confront this threat head-on and deal with these vicious kingpins. This is why you make the big bucks, Agent! Take down the kingpins one by one so that we can all regain our peaceful city—and you can keep your job.

The first kingpin likely to come into your crosshairs is named Don Domingo Garcia—a loose cannon with a mysterious past. Garcia controls a gang known as Los Muertos, or “The Dead.” They use this name to instill fear in the hearts of honest, peace-loving citizens, but it’s time that you made their gang name a lot more literal. Los Muertos are a reckless bunch; they love fast cars, so be on the lookout for gang members who will try to run you down. You’ll find Los Muertos running in small groups on the streets and congregating around their hideouts, where they like to live it up and indulge in any number of activities as depraved as they are illegal. Narcotics, theft, assault, smuggling, you name it.  Garcia loves his life of luxury and he will break every law he can to enjoy it.

Once Don Garcia is pushing up the daisies, it will be time to track down and eliminate a wolf in wolf’s clothing: Vladimir “The Wolf” Golyak. This thug has taken over the southeastern island of Pacific City. His pack of “wolves”—known as the Volk—are everywhere, so use extreme caution. Their tactics include force of numbers, so stay alert and don’t blunder into a bigger fight than you’re prepared to win. The wolves of the Volk could be anywhere: on top of tall buildings, on balconies, in alleyways, even walking down the street. Keep moving! If you stay in one place for too long you’ll come under fire from every direction, and not just with bullets—the Volk have a large amount of explosives at their fingertips and they love to blow things up. Superior numbers + virtually unlimited explosives = one dead Agent. Do the math.

The final member of the triumvirate of evil is Zuang Lun Wang, a mysterious and powerful mastermind who rules the northeastern island of Pacific City known as the Corridor. Wang’s organization, the powerful Shai-Gen Corporation, is sophisticated and focuses on white-collar crimes, and to that end it has virtually taken Pacific City over. Whereas Garcia and Golyak surround themselves with muscle, Wang exercises his power through a staff of brilliant scientists and tacticians. He controls all information going to and from the Corridor and enforces his will from a distance. No one has ever seen him, except on the posters and video screens that decorate the city. In the absence of true information, rumors are everywhere concerning his appearance and abilities; some even say that he possesses strange powers and has dabbled in the dark arts. No one knows for sure. His whereabouts are also a mystery, though your best bet is to look for him in the massive skyscraper tower in the Corridor’s main square.  When you go looking for Wang, Agent, you’ll soon run into members of his “organization.” They’re fewer in number than the other two gangs but they are far more dangerous, since they’ve been trained and enhanced by Shai-Gen’s top scientists. There are also dire rumors that Shai-Gen scientists may even be conducting secret experiments designed to turn ordinary citizens into superhuman creatures. These abominations must be stopped, Agent! But please be careful: if you die I’ll have a bunch of paperwork to fill out, and you know how I hate paperwork.

Consider yourself briefed, Agent. Time to go forth and take back the streets of Pacific City. And good luck—we’re all counting on you!
