Attention, Agent: It’s time to get moving. You can’t fight crime by standing around and twiddling your thumbs. We’re here to help you navigate your way through the tough streets of Pacific City. Even if your newly-enhanced body isn’t yet at its maximum potential, here are twelve things that will put you on the road to Legendville (Population: You):
1. Shoot First…and Shoot Later
We didn’t give you that gun so you could use it as a paperweight, Agent. Take your weapons and get busy helping the Peacekeepers eliminate the criminal rabble. Right outside the Agency exit you will find a firefight; duck behind some cover and join in the fun, or wander the streets as a lone, dark lawman helping citizens in need fight off the thugs that crawl through the alleyways.
2. Throw Things
You can pick up almost any object in Pacific City and throw it. Try this out on benches, basketballs, or even people. As your strength increases you will be able to lift larger objects and do more damage to villains by throwing things at them. See what you can pick up.
3. Drive Fast—REALLY Fast
Your Agency Supercar is the sports car of your dreams. Hop in that baby and drive as fast as you can around the city. There’s plenty of fun to be had, scooping up cars as you go by and running over people. If you run over gang members, you actually get Driving skill points. If you drive over civilians, well, that’s just fun.
4. Take a Joyride
One of the perks of this job is that you get to commandeer anyone’s vehicle at any time you need it, even Peacekeeper vehicles. Take advantage of this and see just how nice the cars of Pacific City are. Don’t worry about scraping the paint; the citizens’ liability insurance should cover any mishaps. And remember: you’re an officer of the law, so whatever you do must be legal. It’s only carjacking when criminals do it.
5. Leap Tall Buildings In Several Bounds
I believe you can fly, Agent. There’s no need to stay on the ground when you can leap or climb up the sides of buildings. You can jump to gain a finger’s-hold on high ledges, pull yourself up, and then leap to even higher ledges. See how high you can go, and see how quickly you start looking at buildings in a new way (“Hmmm … I’ll bet I can climb that…”). Then jump off the top of a building and see how big a crater you make.
6. Collect Orbs
Those glowing green balls of light are called Agility Orbs, and there are hundreds of them to be found. You’ll have to jump, hang, or climb to get to many of them. Collecting the low-hanging orbs will improve your Agility enough to reach the higher orbs.
7. Race For Your Life.
There are several races on the streets and rooftops of Pacific City. Each of these will demand your total concentration. If it’s green, it’s a rooftop race and you’ll have to climb and leap your way through it. If it’s purple, find the nearest vehicle and take to the streets. Even if you lose, you win. (Yeah, that’s what your mother always said—and for once she was right!) Try them as many times as you need. The Agency will always be there to tell you that you’re a winner. Group hug!
8. Fly Through the Air with the Greatest of Ease
Okay, Evel Knievel: Mount up in the Agency-issued SUV and you’ll be ready to perform aerial tricks that would have Circus of the Stars impressed (though not Cirque du Soleil—those guys are tough). You will notice, as you bounce your way down the highway, that you can roll OVER the traffic. No more gridlock for you! Use other cars as ramps to jump and soar through the air, impressing your friends.
9. Play With Things That Go BOOM!
Explosives are an important part of any Agent’s balanced diet. Continue the Agency’s time-honored tradition by taking your standard-issue grenades and putting them to good use. There’s nothing that warms you on a cold winter night like a nice, big fire fountain. You’ll find plenty of explosive barrels and boxes lying about the city to ignite and explode; bonus points if there are unsuspecting criminals within the blast radius. Explosives: don’t leave home without them!
10. Take On a Mob Boss
Do you feel lucky? Well, then, maybe you’re ready to face one of the 21 gang bosses who are polluting our fine city. If you exit the Agency building via Exit #1, the nearest boss will be Violetta Sanchez. Turn left as you come out and you’ll reach a corner that’s fenced up. 11. Beat People Up
Now is your chance to go medieval on someone’s hindquarters, Agent. Punch, kick, and stomp your way to victory over any thug you come across. Next time they’ll think twice about pointing that loaded pistol at you.
12. Run People Down
The Agency Truck Cab is a powerful force on the road. It may not be the biggest vehicle around, but it is built to be one of the strongest. Take out the truck cab and smash your way down the highway. Anyone who stands in your way gets squished. Looks like they picked a bad time to start jaywalking!
